Card Nights

Rathun an Chaislean Nua will be hosting two social card evenings this November. The card nights will be ran on Friday 11th and Friday 25th of November at 8pm in the Tonabrucky Clubhouse. Thonabrucky Challenge

The Thonabrucky Challenge was a great success, thanks to everyone who took part and a special thanks Lisa Regan, Tony Og Regan, Sean Heffernan, Andrew Keane and Martin Kelly who made the event possible. Also a big thank you to all the stewards and everyone else that helped out on the day.

U14 Feile

Rathún An Chaisleán Nua are delighted to announce that we are hosting Naomh Eoin hurling Club (Sligo) in this year's All-Ireland Féile na nGael.
The weekend will begin with a match in Thonabrucky pitch on Friday the 24th of June at 3pm, and the teams will then attend a parade in Loughrea that evening with an estimated 7,000 visitors parading or viewing. Rathún an Chaisleán Nua will host a total of 5 group games in Thonabrucky.

Rahoon Newcastle Intermediate Championship Draw

Rahoon Newcastle have been drawn in a group with Gort, Meelick Eyrecourt, Kilconieron and Castlegar. The Intermediate Championship stars on April 24th Easter Sunday.

Rahoon Newcastle club member Emmet Heffernan is one of Galway’s newest hurley makers. He is based in Bushypark and is making customised handmade hurleys to meet the users requirements.
